The Pima Road Solar Power Site

Photovoltaic

Tierra prepared all applications, studies, and technical submittals required to support a Pinal County Comprehensive Plan Amendment for the proposed 570-acre Pima Road Solar Power Site, which would allow the construction of a 45-50–megawatt photovoltaic power generation facility. Subsequent to the approval of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment, Tierra prepared an application for rezoning, planned area development, and an Industrial Use Permit.

Tierra conducted additional technical studies necessary to assess the Pima Road site, including a Class III cultural resource survey, and an USACE jurisdictional delineation of potential Waters of the U.S. for a 299-acre portion of the site. We were also responsible for representing the project at a neighborhood meeting, Pinal County Planning Commission hearings, and Pinal County board meetings.
